About Me:

I have been a clinical social worker at the Hospital for Sick Children for over 18 years working with children, teens and their families managing acute and chronic illness. Through my work I have supported patients and their families through times of stress and crisis, grief and loss, as well as long-term adaptation to chronic illness. As a person and mom living with a chronic illness and disability since childhood, I have a particular interest in working with young adults and adults, who are living with chronic illness and other health issues.

I offer support and coaching to help individuals in their management and navigation of chronic illness in all aspects of their lives, such as in their relationships, at school, in their workplace and home environments. In addition, in my work with young adults, I recognize the unique challenges in moving from paediatric to adult healthcare and provide support to them in successfully navigating this interesting and often challenging new period in their lives. As a parent myself, I also strive to support parents as they work to survive and thrive while parenting throughout the various developmental stages and challenges.
